We welcome your questions and comments on AIRWRAP, the breathable protective mesh cot wrap brought to you by The Little Linen Company. Some of the more popular questions and answers are listed below.
Q. Can the AIRWRAP be used for my cot with solid-ends? A. Solid-ended cots do not have the required rails for the original AIRWRAP to be fitted properly. AIRWRAP - Side Protection System (SPS) can be fitted to both the railed sides of solid or fixed-ended cots. AIRWRAP - SPS is now in-stores.
Q. Is the AIRWRAP suitable for my rounded cot? A. AIRWRAPS can be fitted to this style of cot. The wrap would not cover the whole cot and would need to be weaved through most of the cot rails. This does provide protection from limbs getting through the bars but still leaves a large proportion cot bars exposed to the baby. We therefore do not recommend the AIRWRAP as an ideal product for this cot type.
Q. Does Sids N' Kids Australia endorse the AIRWRAP? A. It is Sids N' Kids Australia policy not to endorse any products, and as part of their safety recommendations suggest ‘traditional’ padded or foam cot bumpers not be used. We support Sids N' Kids successful safe sleeping message, and suggest you refer to their website for more information visit Sids and Kids Open mesh cot liners have been available in America for years. First Candle/SIDS Alliance (in the USA) state "..soft or pillow-like bumpers should never be used. If used, bumpers should be thin, firm and securely tied. Consider using a mesh breathble bumper as a replacement to traditional bumpers in your babies crib" For more information please refer to their recommendations. First Candle/SIDS Alliance Q. How do I care for my AIRWRAP? A. AIRWRAP is machine washable. Gentle machine wash and line-dry. Drying time is minimal due to the breathable fabric. Remember to close the Velcro ends back onto themselves prior to washing. This will protect your other items from Velcro damage. The AIRWRAP does not require ironing and like like any nursery product it should not be dry-cleaned. Q. Does AIRWRAP have any other safety features? A. Yes, AIRWRAP’s thin collapsible fabric ensures it cannot be used as leverage for baby to climb from the cot, providing extra security from potentially dangerous falls. This thin fabric also allows it to be aligned on the cot below the level of the mattress. This further protects little arms and legs getting past the AIRWRAP. Traditional cot bumpers are normally too thick to be fitted under the mattress level.
Q. Is AIRWRAP guaranteed? A. Yes, AIRWRAP comes with a two year guarantee.
